Role Description:
This is a remote contract role for an Image Editor / Retoucher. As an Image Editor / Retoucher at Innfocus you will be responsible for enhancing and improving photographs with the aim of producing quality images that meet client expectations. You will work collaboratively and be responsible for editing images for light and color balance, cropping, and straightening, and other tasks to improve image quality. Your work will contribute to our mission of helping hotels stand out online and provide a captivating guest experience.
Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and/or Capture One
Demonstrated expertise in color correction, retouching, and image manipulation
Experience in the photography industry, preferably with an emphasis on architectural, commercial, real estate and/or hotel photography
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and team members
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
Portfolio that demonstrates exceptional photo editing skills
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to make adjustments promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow the global photography guidelines of the brands when conducting image editing tasks.
Initially, manage image editing for two brands, with the potential to work with more in the future.
Enhance and retouch hotel photographs, ensuring they meet a minimum resolution of 3,000 pixels, are saved in .jpg format, and are oriented in landscape.
Perform both basic and advanced retouching, including adjustments related to exposure, colors, clarity, contrast, saturation, white balance, and more.
Conduct cropping and quality improvements, such as removing non-brand logos, HDR merging, ensuring the removal of distracting backgrounds, eliminating cars, smoothing out parking lots, exterior surfaces, beds, and linens.
Correct distortion caused by wide-angle lenses and align image lines for a more refined appearance.
Implement shadow removal to eliminate basic textures and carry out other necessary enhancements.
Collaborate closely with the team to meet project deadlines and maintain a consistent workflow.
Project Timelines:
The typical turnaround time for editing and retouching a set of hotel photographs is 5 business days.
Revisions done within 24 hours
Our clients receive edited images within a 10-business day turnaround, the 5 day turnaround time allows for a quality assurance (QA) process and anticipating new projects.
Workload and Work Hours:
Typically assigned one project at a time.
To start, you will have approximately 3-4 projects per month.
Each project consists of approximately 25-40 images
Training and Onboarding:
Innfocus provides training and onboarding to ensure they understand brand standards and editing guidelines.
Salary and Benefits:
Compensation is negotiable based on a per-project basis.
Location:
This is a remote position, allowing for flexible work hours. Open to candidates worldwide.
